A small piece of history re-invented! The
top left photo below is the old
Schill House, the last remaining antebellum structure of the original
Jamison
Village at the intersection of Old York Road and Almshouse Road.
The left side was the old Post Office. This old shopping center
was is very poor shape. It was completely facelifted.
Below is the
facelift. New roofscapes for the left hand sections. All
new roofing and siding above a new stucco base. Wrap around
verandas including classic posts, with traditional red metal roof.
After the demolition of several rear portions, A new addition is
created with a "drive through" for the Owner's drycleaning
estabilshment. This breaks up the total mass of the buildings,
and improves the human scale.
All sides are finished for public interior entrance and street
appeal. There
is no unfinished "rear." All new site lighting, all new paving,
and refurbished signage
systems.
